App permissions

fewso asks for a permission only when a feature needs it, and explains why at the moment it asks. You can change any of these later in iOS Settings → fewso.

Camera

Used to capture your moments. When you take a moment, fewso opens the front and back cameras so you can capture both at once. fewso can't take photos or videos without it.

Microphone

Used only while recording a video. So your video moments have sound. It's never used for photos, and never for background listening.

Photo library

Used to add and save photos. With your permission, fewso can import photos you've already taken into the right day of your week, and save your Sunday recap back to your library. You can grant access to selected photos only, rather than your whole library.

Notifications

Optional. If you allow them, fewso sends a quiet notification when someone in your circle shows up, when you're invited to an album, or when your Sunday recap is ready. There's no badge spam, and you can turn them off any time.

What fewso never asks for

  • Contacts / address book— fewso doesn't scan or upload your contacts. You add friends by QR code or @handle.
  • Location— fewso doesn't request your location.
  • Tracking— fewso doesn't track you across other apps or websites, so you won't see an App Tracking Transparency prompt.

Changing permissions

Open iOS Settings → fewso to turn any permission on or off. Turning off a required permission (like Camera) will limit the matching feature, but fewso will keep working for everything else.
